Inaugural Golf Day is a huge success!

⛳ Despite the inclement weather, the inaugural Pencil Tree Golf Day at Chinderah on May 9th was a roaring success!
Fifty-six golfers teed off in a 4-ball Ambrose competition, filled with laughter and camaraderie.
A huge thank you to the amazing Chinderah Golf Course, who generously donated the use of the course free of charge. We are incredibly grateful to Costa, Bear, CJ, Brett, and all the staff and family for their outstanding support and generosity.
A very special thank you goes to Nick for all his hard work in organising the day, with fantastic assistance from Allan—we couldn’t have done it without you both!
After the game, players enjoyed a complimentary BBQ and beer donated by Balter Beer, who also hosted a raffle at their brewery—raising an incredible $2,000 for Pencil Tree.
On the day, a further $2,956 was raised through raffles, longest drive, nearest the pin prizes, and more.
We’re also incredibly thankful for the support of several generous local businesses who donated gifts and services for prizes and raffles—your contributions made the day extra special. 🙏
And just when we thought it couldn’t get better—an extra $56 came in from recycling the empties after the Golf Day, bringing the grand total to $5,012 raised to support our mission of educating underprivileged children in northern India. 🙌

Upcoming event: Fashion Parade in Hastings Point

👗 We’re thrilled to announce the return of our fabulous Fashion Parade in Hastings Point!

On June 7th, Drift Boutique (Cabarita Beach) and The Nook Italian Bistro (Hastings Point) are teaming up once more for an evening of fashion, sensational food, and lots of fun. Best of all, this time Pencil Tree team members will be there to enjoy the event too!
Sincere thanks to Julie Pine for her fabulous work organising what is sure to be a wonderful event!

Sponsor a Child, Change a Life

❤️ For just $7.30 a week, Pencil Tree provides a child from the slums with a fantastic, holistic education at the Tong-Len School in the village of Sarah, northern India.
This incredible school was built thanks to the generosity of our wonderful Pencil Tree supporters and officially opened its doors in October 2019.
Whenever a new child starts school, Pencil Tree must find a sponsor to cover that cost—and thanks to our growing community, we now have sponsors locally, across Australia, and even around the world.
Recently, 19 more children enrolled—and we are urgently seeking sponsors to help keep them in school. This is where you come in.
If you—or someone you know—has ever wanted to truly change a life, now is the time to act.
👉 Please visit our website and sponsor a child today.

It’s tax-deductible, it’s simple, and most importantly… it’s life-changing. And yes—it feels really good too.

💛 Thank You for Growing The Pencil Tree
Whether you donate, sponsor, or travel with us, your support nurtures the roots of opportunity for children in need. Together, we're building futures, one pencil, one pack, one mat at a time.
